Google is celebrating India’s 72nd Republic Day with doodle made by Mumbai-based artist Onkar Fondekar. This doodle showcasing the diversity and range of vibrant cultures in India that bring this colorful nation to life.
Republic Day honours the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act as the governing document of India and thus, turning the nation into a newly formed republic.
“I drew inspiration from the people of India—the culture, traditions, history, and architecture,” Fondekar said.
According to NDTV, India will see a scaled-down Republic Day parade at Rajpath due to Coronavirus.
